Congressman Mike Haridopolos Votes Yes on the HALT Fentanyl Act

Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, Congressman Mike Haridopolos (FL-08) voted with his fellow Republicans to pass H.R. 27, The HALT Fentanyl Act. This landmark legislation will permanently classify fentanyl-related substances in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. By doing so, this bill will ensure law enforcement officers have the resources to keep Fentanyl out of American communities.  

“Fentanyl overdoses have become an epidemic in our country. Every single life lost to the fentanyl crisis is preventable, and today we are taking steps to make our communities safer and save lives. I voted YES on this bill to give law enforcement officers the tools they need to make our communities a better place.” said Rep. Haridopolos.
