WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Mike Haridopolos (FL-08) hosted a Special Order on the House floor to address the nationwide housing shortage. The United States is currently short by as many as 5.5 million housing units, a gap driven by rising construction costs, regulatory delays, outdated zoning rules, barriers to community bank lending, and increased demand placing additional pressure on housing supply.
