Rep. Haridopolos: “Fraud Weakens the Bonds of Trust That Hold This Nation Together”

Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Haridopolos (FL-08) delivered remarks on the House Floor, highlighting a recent conviction in Minnesota involving a major fraud scheme and arguing that lawmakers have a responsibility to ensure taxpayer-funded programs serve their intended purpose.
“Voters simply want accountability and they want action. And that's exactly what we provide. We help people who are truly in need and don't turn a blind eye to fraud. A society that tolerates fraud weakens the bonds of trust that hold this nation together,” said Congressman Haridopolos. “This is the most common sense bill that we’ve had in the two years that I’ve been here. I am proud to support this so the folks who truly need the resources will finally get them.”
