Rep. Haridopolos Honors Former Congressman Bill Posey on the House Floor and During Financial Services Committee Markup

Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Haridopolos (FL-08) honored the life and legacy of former Congressman Bill Posey on the House Floor and during a House Financial Services Committee markup.
“Bill Posey dedicated his life to serving his community with honor. His legacy will live on through the people he mentored, the community he loved, and the country he served,” said Congressman Haridopolos on the House Floor. “He loved this country like no other.”
Bill Posey served eight terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2009 to 2025, including 16 years on the House Financial Services Committee.
“For those of us who knew Bill, his impact reached well beyond the halls of Congress. He was a tireless champion of Florida’s Space Coast, America’s space program, and the hardworking families in his community,” said Congressman Haridopolos during committee. “Beyond the accomplishments and titles, Bill was simply a good guy — grounded, deeply loyal, and devoted to his family.”
