INDIAN RIVER SHORES — U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos put on his shades, took off his shoes and toured the beach Tuesday, learning about Indian River County’s dedication to replenish sand eroded away by Hurricanes Ian, Nicole and Milton. It was one of several visits the congressman has made this year to the 8th Congressional District to connect with local officials and constituents.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Health First nurse Judie Kent is being hailed as a hero after rushing to aid a motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a crash last Thursday.

Martin Johnson, a father of five, was on his way to work when a car attempting a U-turn struck him at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Masterson. The impact left him with a broken femur and multiple fractures.
