Strengthening these reporting requirements is a key national security step to expose and counter malign foreign influence on America’s campuses. The bill lowers the threshold for disclosing gifts and contracts from foreign sources to the Department of Education, reducing it from $250,000 to $50,000.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District command leadership, hosted by the Canaveral Port Authority, provided U.S. Congressman Mike Haridopolos with a waterside tour of multiple projects totaling over $150 million in Federal funding that ensure the continued safe navigation of Canaveral Harbor and preserve Brevard County’s shoreline.

Lawmakers, engineers, and members of the Port Authority provided an update on the monthslong Canaveral Harbor Sand Bypass project during a visit to Jetty Park on Thursday.

“It’s a bigger, better project,” senior project manager Chris Ren said.


This year, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is taking a different approach to rebuilding the beaches. Instead of taking sand from offshore, they're taking sand from another part of the beach, north of the port, where there's too much sand surrounding the jetty.
