Newly sworn in U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos, an Indian Harbour Beach Republican, used his first chance to address the House chamber to extoll the space program in his home of Brevard County.
The Representative of Florida’s 8th Congressional District, located on the Space Coast, said he’s thrilled the space program is gaining momentum, with more and more liftoffs from Cape Canaveral. It was his first congressional address in the House since being elected Nov. 5.
On Tuesday, Congressman Mike Haridopolos (FL-08) delivered his first speech on the floor of the House of Representatives, which he used to highlight the Space Coast’s leadership in America’s space program, and to applaud the men and women of the public and private sectors who power this crucial industry.

Congressman Mike Haridopolos expressed his enthusiastic support of Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody's announced appointment to serve as Florida's next U.S. Senator. The House Financial Services Committee has chosen leadership with an eye toward digital asset regulation.
Rep. French Hill (R-Ark.) announced the new appointments Thursday (Jan. 9), promising to “right-size the regulatory system for particularly community banks,” and “create a regulatory framework for digital assets that will protect investors and consumers.”
In addition, Hill said the committee would “ensure agencies are focused on their core statutory directed missions” and not political agendas.
