Representative Mike Haridopolos (R-FL) dismissed the "nonsensical" arguments Democrats made against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in a recent appearance on Fox and Friends First, adding, "They are just upset that they lost the majority."

Host Carley Shimkus began by playing several clips of Democratic Congressmen during the Sunday news shows, including Representatives Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Eugene Vindman (D-VA), and Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). Rep. Vindman, in particular, said DOGE was instituting a "reign of terror" across the federal government.

Representative Mike Haridopolos (R-FL) recently addressed the House Finance Committee in favor of two pieces of legislation: one holding China accountable for currency manipulation and another protecting small businesses from regulations that impose unnecessary costs.

H.R. 692, the China Exchange Rate Transparency Act, requires the U.S. Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to demand greater oversight of Chinese currency exchange rate practices.

For decades, Vero Beach has been the neglected stepchild of a Congressional District dominated by Brevard County, and Indian River County residents have seldom seen their elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives except when he was looking for campaign contributions.

But freshman Congressman Mike Haridopolos, like his predecessors a Brevard County resident, told Vero Beach 32963 in an interview last week that he wants to be more attentive to his Indian River County constituents, in person or using technology to stay connected.

WASHINGTON, DC – Florida’s Space Coast has gained a significant advocate in Congress as newly elected Representative Mike Haridopolos of Indian Harbor Beach has been appointed chair of the Congressional Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics.

“I am truly honored to Chair this important committee,” said Haridopolos.

This subcommittee, operating under the Science, Space, and Technology Committee, oversees agency budgets exceeding $42 billion and plays a critical role in shaping space policy and initiatives.
